Larry Skuse

Hi, I am Larry Skuse, and I am currently a senior system software engineer at NVIDIA. My role involves designing and developing highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant cloud services.

Previously, I was a senior software engineer at WH Trading LLC, which is a proprietary derivatives trading firm based in Chicago, IL.

At WH, I led the development of the firm's back-office software, which is responsible for account management, trade processing, financial reporting, reconciliations, and data archiving. I was also a key contributor to numerous components of the firm's high-frequency trading (HFT) system, including market data handlers, algorithmic trading strategies, advanced order types, and a trading API.

Occasionally, I make open source contributions or publish personal projects to GitHub. Check them out!

Prior to the start of my career, I earned a B.S. with honors in Computer Engineering from Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE). Several years later, I earned a M.S. in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech).

When I am not working on software, I enjoy being outside. You can often find me running, cycling, golfing, skiing, or in various local rec leagues. I am a Chicago sports fan, an avid reader of both historical fiction and non-fiction, and an amateur travel photographer. You can view some of my favorite travel photography in my Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, and South America photo albums.
